In Antwerp the last class has been ridden, a trilling jump-off gave us a winner from Great-Brittain. Michael Whitacker took the lead, and nobody could beat him to it. He came into the arena with Jb’s Hot Stuff (by Locarno 62) and went through the finish in 37.20 seconds.
A few hundredth of seconds slower came the German world number one Daniel Deusser through the finish. He had under his saddle his partner Cornet d’Amour (by Cornet Obolensky) and had a time of 37.57 seconds. The fastest to go in the first round was Piergiorgio Bucci. The Italian men ended on the third place after the second round with Casallo Z (by Casall).
The fourth place was for the Swedish rider Hendrik von Eckermann with Cantinero (by Cento) with a time of 38.06 seconds. The top five was completed by the French lady Penelope Leprevost. She rode Vagabond de La Pomme (by Vigo D’Arsouilles Stx) around the second phase in 38.62 seconds.
