In 2020 Waregem Horse Week will be back on the calendar…
With great enthusiasm, after a successful second edition of the Waregem Horse Week, we already look forward to the next edition of this event.
By doing so we remain loyal to our ideals: topsport, business and pleasure, all of which will be intertwined from September 24th until September 27th of 2020 on the renowned Gaverbeek Hippodrome Waregem, known for the idyllic Waregem Koerse.
During the 5 days of the event the Hippodrome will be transformed in a temple of showjumping excellence where the world’s best riders and horses will be competing to claim victory in the challenging 5* Grand Prix of the Waregem Horse Week.
The 5* competitions will be accompanied by 1*, 2* and young horse competitions and this over a total of 2 arenas. By doing so we offer a wide spectrum of showjumping.
We do not limit ourselves to only horsejumping ! We like to welcome you also to a program full of animation, shows and spectacle for everyone, for our show has free admission for all it’s visitors.
Follow us on Facebook where we will share the latest news with you.
No leap is too big, not even the Gaverbeek…
The word of our mayor
Waregem is, as city of the Horse, very excited to welcome this 5* showjumping event. It’s one of the 4 CSI5* in our country; an exclusive privilege.
With this event the image of Waregem as “city in canter” is complete. The “Sport Vlaanderen” facilities in Waregem is the largest equestrian sports center in Flanders.
We already have Waregem Koerse, accompanied by two trotting competitions per week from May until September, Horseball, concours d’elegance for carriages, international Dressage, eventing competitions, showjumping events and so on…
During the month of the horse, the Waregem Horse Week will claim a special place among these other events.
This organization is an undeniable advantage for our equestrian calendar in Waregem: therefor I would like to express my gratitude to Johan & Pieter Dejager and their entire team for bringing this international event to Waregem.
Welcome home in our horse city. We are very proud to welcome you.
Kurt Vanryckegehem
Mayor of Waregem
